The movie up for review today is Silver Rain. I
am two years late in reviewing this movie because it was actually released in
2015. Nevertheless, I'll just go ahead with my review. Lol. Better late than
never. A part of me believes not everyone has seen this movie.
Silver Rain was not a typical
Nollywood movie as it featured actors across the African continent; some of
them were new faces. The movie starred actors like Enyinna Nwige, Joselyn Dumas
and Uru Eke. As usual, these awesome actors did not fail to deliver. I rate this
movie 4 out of 5 just because I choose to not be 100 percent generous with my
rating. :-). The cinematography was great in my opinion.
Ajoa,
a street girl met Bruce the rich heir of the Timothy fortunes one sunny
day in an accident situation on the streets of Ghana. Adjoa's world was the slumy market place where she worked and lived in pitiable conditions. She was picked up by the authorities one day and her only way out of 'detention' was Bruce. A friendship blossomed between the two of them as time went on. However, reality caught up with them in a bit as these two people from different social classes tried their best to navigate the waters of their friendship.
I was fortunate to stumble on this movie on Amazon Prime videos. Talk about the benefits of being an Amazon Prime member.
