The Power of loving and forgiving

So you were stabbed hard in the back and your heart is still bleeding. He walked out on you when you needed him the most. Your friend(s) deserted you. You were abandoned by your parents at an early age. The list goes on. Your mother told you it was a mistake to have given birth to you. You were fired from your job unjustly and now all you want to do is get back at the lady or man who landed you in trouble. Life can be unfair. Things happen. The enemy of our soul gives us all good reasons to hate people. Sometimes, we are filled with a burning rage to get back at all those who have hurt us. I have been there before. We have all been there.
I’m sorry you had to go through whatever it was that rocked your world. However, today I’ll say, FORGIVE. Can you do yourself that favor? Simply FORGIVE. What does the word forgive mean? It means to grant pardon for or remission of an offence, debt, etc. It means to cease to feel resentment against someone.Let go of all the bitterness, rage, grudges and malice. When you choose to walk in unforgiveness, you are really imprisoning yourself. Does the phrase LET GO AND LET GOD sound familiar?  I can sense you are having a real fight with yourself over this. You really don’t want to forgive that person. You want to retaliate. You are waiting for the perfect moment to strike back. Drop it. Let the love of God flow freely into you. It’s okay to ask for divine grace. I do that when I can’t handle some negative feelings I have.  Another reason you must forgive is because when you don’t forgive people for whatever wrong they have done to you, God doesn’t forgive you either. ( I smell real trouble here). What’s the consequence of that? Your prayer becomes hindered. God doesn’t hear you when you pray. You shut the door of your blessings,  and above all, you become susceptible to the attacks of the enemy. The package comes with sicknesses, diseases, frustration, poverty, retrogression. The list is endless. So, you see you really do yourself a favor by forgiving.
If you have read this piece of writing, and you have made up your mind to really forgive whoever hurt you and you really want to let go, I say kudos to you! Job well done!  Go ahead and give yourself a hug ( I tried it recently and it works like magic). Lastly, love like you have never been hurt before. Love makes the world go round.
See ya!!!!

A little Update From Me

Hello there!! Happy New Year!!!  I say Happy New Year because I've been away from this blog for so long. :-(  I can't get past the fact that it was the new year just a few months ago. I remember going to church for the crossover service into the new year. It was my first in-person crossover service in 7 years. If you don't know what a crossover service is, ask any Nigerian. :-) 2023 was a few hours away, and my mind ran over the events in 2022. I thought about my wins, like moving to a new state, settling in, getting a job promotion, etc. I thought about how I got sick and felt like life was leaving me to being well again. People went forward to share their testimonies, and I felt I was supposed to be out there proclaiming God's goodness to me. "I'm sorry, Lord," I muttered. "Thank you for everything." A few hours later, everyone said "Happy New Year" with glee and excitement. "2023... Please be good to me." I th...

BIBI - CHAPTER 17

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange was happening to you Several months later….. **** Pere removed his glasses and rubbed his aching eyes. He thought about Nneoma. It had been months since he had seen her. He had reached out to her and tried to see her, but she had refused to pick up his calls. Eventually, she blocked his number, and he saw red. He had had enough. Today, he decided to go to her office to see her. A thousand thoughts crossed his mind. What if she wasn’t at the office? What if she had traveled? “Kade, I’ll see you tomorrow.” He said to their office assistant and headed out. “I’m here to see Ms. Nneoma Odili.” He said to the receptionist. “Is she expecting you?” “No.” He replied curtly. “What is your name?” The lady asked. “Pere is my name.” He answered. “She’s not at her desk.” The receptionist said to him after calling Nneoma's secretary. “Wow! But do you know if she’s in the office today?” ...

BIBI - CHAPTER 16

I t was a rainy Monday morning, and Lara was frustrated by all the traffic. That was one thing she missed about London. Fast and reliable transportation that got you where you were going without hassles. She was cranky by the time she arrived at the office that morning. It didn’t also help that she didn’t have a good night’s sleep. She placed her bag under her desk and sighed. Kofo, her admin assistant, walked up to her. “Good morning, madam. Your first meeting with the people from Duchess Group is in forty minutes.” Lara squinted and then nodded. She hadn’t yet turned on her computer. “Thanks, Kofo. Yes, I know.” “Can I get you anything?” “Yes, please. My regular morning fix.” Lara smiled. “Okay, I’ll be right back,” Kofo replied. She liked her new assistant a lot. In the short time since she had known her, Kofo had proven to be reliable. She honestly didn’t know what she would do without her these days. After getting her morning fix, a cup of coffee, and egg sandwic...
